Who is responsible for your information
Grant Brief is operated by Daniel Shore trading as Grant Brief, who is the data controller. You can contact Grant Brief at [email protected].
What we collect
Grant Brief may collect:
- your organisation name and email address;
- optional information you supply about your organisation, its work, goals or funding needs;
- the date and time you submit the form; and
- basic technical information needed to operate and protect the form.
How we use it
We use this information to research funding opportunities relevant to your organisation, prepare and send the free Grant Brief you requested, and communicate with you about the request. We also use it where needed to operate and protect the service.
We do not sell personal information or use it for unrelated advertising.
Why we can use it
We process this information because you have asked us to provide the service. We also have a legitimate interest in responding to requests and operating and protecting Grant Brief.
Where it is stored
Information submitted through the website form is stored using Cloudflare infrastructure. It may also be processed using email and other services reasonably needed to research, prepare and deliver your Grant Brief.
Website analytics
Grant Brief uses Google Analytics 4 to understand basic use of the site, unless you opt out. It records pages viewed, general usage information and whether a free sample request was submitted successfully. It does not send form values, names, organisation names, email addresses or notes to Google Analytics.
Google processes this analytics information for Grant Brief. Google Signals, advertising personalisation, remarketing and profiling are not used, and the GA4 data-retention setting is two months.
You can opt out, or allow analytics again later, using the control below or the analytics control in the footer. Your choice is stored in your browser so the site can remember it.
How long we keep it
We normally keep information submitted to Grant Brief for up to 12 months after our last interaction with you, unless we need to retain records for legal, accounting or administrative purposes. We delete information when we no longer need it.
Your rights
You can contact [email protected] to ask:
- what personal information we hold about you;
- for inaccurate information to be corrected;
- for information to be deleted where applicable; or
- for processing to be restricted, or to object to it, where applicable.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) if you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information.
